Mount Rainer

Mount Rainer near the visitor center on a beautiful and warm day in October 2015. At this point we are about 5500 feet above sea level. The top of the mountain is around 14,000 feet.

It was a grey, cloudy and chilly day but I still got a fairly good shot of the pony and reflection.

We spotted this herd on the way back to the Visitor Center.

This herd hung around so long that we were over 30 minutes late returning from our tour. No one complained it was fun watching the wild ponies.

This herd of ponies were not shy or skiddish. This pony walked right up the bus and hung around. The tour guide said that was unusual.
